RAE-1 is persistently induced on colonic epithelial cells in graft-versus-host disease–inflicted mice treated with isotype control but not an anti-NKG2D antibody. Irradiated Balb/c mice were transplanted with B6-derived bone marrow cells and fluorescence-activated cell sorted CD8+ T cells. The mice were treated 3 times/wk with an anti-NKG2D antibody. Frozen sections of colonic tissue were obtained from the mice at day 7 posttransplantation. Pan Keratin is shown as green, RAE-1 as red, and 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole as blue.
