    The MAL protein plays a role in the machinery of Lck transport to the T-cell surface. MAL and Lck travel in the same transport vesicles destined for the plasma membrane. The involvement of microtubules in MAL and Lck trafficking was investigated by time-lapse videomicroscopy in Jurkat cells expressing GFP-tubulin (green) and Cherry-MAL (red). This image shows continuous exit of MAL+ vesicles via microtubule tracks from the pericentriolar region toward the plasma membrane. See the article by Andrés-Delgado et al on page 5919.
