Confocal microscopy studies of fibronectin-adherent HeLa cells stably transfected with pcDNA3.1-HGAL demonstrate colocalization of HGAL protein (green) with LARG protein (red) in cell membrane and cytoplasm. The nuclei (blue) are stained with DAPI. This finding supports HGAL-mediated enhancement of active RhoA levels by binding and activation of the PDZ-RhoGEF and LARG proteins.
