ASH Clinical News Seeks Its Next Editor-in-Chief

February 3, 2025

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) is in the initial stage of the selection process for the next editor-in-chief of ASH Clinical News, for a three-year term beginning January 2026 through 2028. Candidates with an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent medical degree should have a strong clinical background; an eye for medical trends in the hematologic space; an appreciation for an evidence-based approach; a working knowledge of Society programs and initiatives; and an interest in developing content that promotes ASH, as well as content that may be of interest to clinicians in hematology and related subspecialties.

Successful candidates for this position must demonstrate exemplary writing, reviewing, and editing skills along with the ideal qualifications outlined above. ASH prohibits members employed by a pharmaceutical or biomedical company from serving in an editorial position.

Eligible members may self-nominate for this position by submitting a letter of interest and a brief description of previous editorial experience. Members are also encouraged to nominate a colleague by submitting a brief informal endorsement of that individual along with a summary of their editorial experience. Nominees must be ASH members in good standing (e.g., dues paid) at the time of application.

All submissions should be sent to [email protected] by the deadline of March 31, 2025. Staff will follow up with qualified nominees to complete their application.
