The American Society of Hematology (ASH) is in search of two new Associate Editors for ASH Clinical News, the Society’s monthly news magazine for the broader hematology/oncology community. Each three-year term runs from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026.
As an Associate Editor, you will have the opportunity to share your views on topics in the field by writing one to two Editor’s Corner columns per year, participating in brainstorming sessions to develop ideas for feature stories and other editorial content, and reviewing and editing planned coverage of studies in your area of expertise. Associate Editors are responsible for attending four quarterly meetings per year (held virtually over Zoom), in addition to providing monthly recommendations for study coverage.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be “plugged in” to key issues affecting the field, and enjoy staying up to date with the latest hematology literature. Excellent writing skills and the ability to meet firm deadlines are a must. Hematologists specializing in classical hematology and advanced practice providers are strongly encouraged to apply. Hematologists based outside of the U.S. are also eligible to apply.
