Call for ASH Clinical News Associate Editors (2025-2027)

July 28, 2022

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) is in search of an Associate Editor to join ASH Clinical News, the Society’s monthly news magazine for the broader hematology/oncology community. The position term is three years and runs from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027.

As an Associate Editor, you’ll have the opportunity to share your views on topics in the field by writing one to two Editor’s Corner columns per year, participating in brainstorming sessions to develop ideas for feature stories and other editorial content, and reviewing/editing articles on studies in your area of expertise. Associate Editors are responsible for attending four quarterly meetings per year (held virtually over Zoom), in addition to providing monthly recommendations for clinical news coverage.

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be “plugged in” to key issues affecting the field, and enjoy staying up to date with the latest hematology literature. Excellent writing skills and the ability to meet firm deadlines are a must. There is an immediate need for an editor who specializes in lymphomas, but applicants with other areas of expertise are welcome as well. Individuals based outside of the U.S. are also eligible to apply.

To learn more about the publication, visit www.ashpublications.org/ashclinicalnews/pages/About or reach out to [email protected] for any questions or assistance. Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest, two writing samples, and CV to the email address listed above in order to apply for the position.
